Our one day cardiac ultrasound course is aimed at veterinary surgeons who are new or very inexperienced with ultrasound. The day will include lectures, demonstrations and practical hands on sessions using a range of scanners.The aim is to develop your cardiac imaging skills in a range of imaging modes to an intermediate level.
Topics covered on the course will include
- Review of system controls
- Cardiac Ultrasound, introductory level to Intermediate level
- B & M Mode Imaging
- Colour Doppler
- Cardiac analysis and measurements
You will end the day with much improved cardiac imaging skills with the ability to use Colour Doppler where relevant and useful. You'll have more confidence to make a diagnosis and to reliably get good images of the heart in long and short axis allowing you to take measurement sets for M mode and basic Doppler studies

Equipment: Probo Medical will provide all of the scanning equipment required for the course.

Cost: £495 plus VAT, £50 discount if you bring a friendly dog who is happy to be scanned. If an ultrasound scanner is purchased within 3 months of attending the course, the full course costs will be reimbursed to you.
Please be aware that as the course is ran at our main office, we have no dogs on site available to scan. Attendees are encouraged to bring a friendly dog along on the day. The course will be postponed if there are not enough dogs to take part in the session.
