For us, being relational is having an interconnected relationship with those around us and proves to be the heartbeat of our business. Relational Challenge

This has been demonstrated at a high level recently with our first annual relational challenge coming to a close. Over the past three months, ten teams have enjoyed some friendly competition in hopes of winning the grand prize of an all-expense paid trip to Indianapolis including suite tickets to an Indianapolis Pacers basketball game! Each team competed to earn points for their team in games of trivia, darts, and the fan favorite Pop-a-Shot. Other ways teams found themselves tallying up some points included coming up with a creative name for their team, gifting another coworker with a relational gift card for demonstrating Probo’s core values, and developing a t-shirt design to be debuted at our all-company meeting. The winning t-shirt design featured here was for the “Reterminators” team.


When our team leaves the office, our core values don’t stop at the door. The relational challenge gave us the opportunity to get out into the community and shine a positive light too. Another way that teams found themselves climbing up the leaderboard was through volunteering. At our Indianapolis headquarters, team members volunteered their time with local organizations like Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. Our company supports volunteering even outside of the relational challenge by semi-annually providing a paid half-day for volunteering. It’s a great way to build relationships and feel good about helping the community.

The relational challenge has provided a lot of fun and positivity that has stirred up a buzz around the office! As the scores and results finish coming in, we can see that now as much as ever, Probo Medical operates in a relational way. By building relationships internally, we are creating a better experience for our customers and a better product. About the Author

Brian Gill is Probo Medical’s Vice President of Marketing. He has been in the ultrasound industry since 1999. From sales to service to customer support, he has done everything from circuit board repair and on-site service to networking and PACS, to training clinicians on ultrasound equipment. Through the years, Brian has trained more than 500 clinicians on over 100 different ultrasound machines. Currently, Brian is known as the industry expert in evaluating ultrasounds and training users on all makes and models of ultrasound equipment, this includes consulting with manufacturers with equipment evaluations during all stages of product development.
